The Studio on the Drive's
mandate is to provide the best possible training environment for actors
looking to work in Film/T.V and Stage. We are one of Vancouver's
oldest private acting studios, originally founded in the mid 1990's on
Commercial Drive and currently running in our downtown location. We
offer a part time
curriculum that provides acting training in different areas of the
craft. Aside from Scene Study and Audition Classes, the
Studio offers a variety of classes and workshops such as Voice, Improv
and Commercial Auditioning. Instructors are working professionals
who bring over 50 years of cumulative experience and insight to their
teaching. It is our hope that students of the Studio follow our
lead and have the same passion for all things Cinema and Theatre
related. While our acting classes are
run in a nurturing and safe environment, our instructors are experienced working
actors who teach with the utmost respect for the craft. Students
at the studio are encouraged to develop ownership of their
careers and to show up for classes on time, well
rehearsed and with a sense of courageous excitement about the work. The Studio's approach to teaching is artful and
inspired, but always with an eye on upward development and practicality. The Studio on the Drive is
also a proud supporter of the Independent Film/TV and Theatre community and
many projects have been fostered and produced with our
assistance. Whether you are just
starting out in your exploration of acting or you are a seasoned
professional looking to hone your chops, the Studio is a home for
dedicated and passionate artists.
