Studio available for rehearsal/workshop rental The availability of rehearsal space has become an issue for many smaller Theatre Companies and Film projects in Vancouver. Over the last several years, the Studio on the Drive has become a viable rehearsal space for Equity and Non-Equity groups working in small venues and staging workshops. As well, numerous short films have used our studio space to cast and rehearse their projects. The size of the space is a good scale for plays being staged in small venues such as The Beaumont, Havana, Little Mountain Studios and Studio 16. We also frequently rent the space to teachers looking to do workshops and classes. The studio is approximately 450 square feet in size and is equipped with chairs, tables, high def camera and monitor, prop boxes as well as Polaris water and a photocopier. As a rental client, the Studio will also promote your project through our extensive email database and will advertise your show within the school itself. Rental space is $15 an hour or $25 an hour with use of the camera/monitor. For projects needing multiple days or weeks of rehearsal, we book the studio for a set fee. **For Theatre groups needing a 2-3 week weekday rehearsal period, the cost is a set fee of $450 for a maximum of 100 hours of weekday/weekend rehearsal time.** Call 604 872 0075 or email us at studioonthedrive@shaw.ca |
